Young, vivacious Australian designer and entrepreneur, Jimeale Jorgensen launched her collection "Jimeale" just over a year ago and has hit her stride with a charming and purposeful collection of travel accessories. In a short amount of time, Jimeale has successfully turned a single inspiration into a global line of cosmetic bags, diaper totes, men's toiletry bags, shower caps and weekend totes.

The inception of the collection came when Jimeale was vacationing in Miami. She took notice of her friend's cosmetic bag and declared it "daggy" (Australian for unfashionable). Without further ado, while sunning poolside, Jimeale promptly sketched the first of her bags. "Jimeale" the brand was born. "Scintillating, outgoing, practical, witty and colorful" are all qualities that describe Jimeale and are showcased through out her line. When it comes to bags, Jimeale's philosophy has always been, "What you carry reflects how you feel".

All of Jimeale's designs are innovative, modern and sensibly priced - a key component to the brand's global success. Every piece in the collection is intricately designed and vibrantly colored. Every zipper and pocket is meticulously thought out and finished to the highest standard using quality fabrics and finishes, including YKK zippers, pockets that are double-lined and interior linings that are not only water resistant and durable, but also beautifully styled. Function meets fashion is the core of every decision and a personal touch is felt throughout Jimeale's collections.

The team at Jimeale strongly believes in social responsibility, generously donating 15% of net profits from the SoHo collection to Boarding for Breast Cancer, a non-profit, youth-focused educational charity organization.

Review: I received the Train Make-Up Case in Orchard ($29.95) and the Purse Pack in Rivington ($19.95). The Train Make-Up Case is a bit small for someone like me who has a lot of make-up, but it is good for my essentials such as mascara, lip gloss, and mineral foundation when I'm out and about. I use the Purse Pack as a coin purse. I'm usually not a blue fan, but the Train Make-Up Case and Purse Pack are both pretty. The quality of the fabric is really nice as well. I'd suggest these particular items for someone who doesn't have a lot of make-up. The Ultimate Traveler ($89.95) would probably be ideal for someone like me.
