Dr. Christine, as her patients call her, is in the practice of empowering women. A breast cancer survivor and celebrated surgeon, she has intimate knowledge of the common skin and body problems that develop with aging, cancer treatment, cancer recovery, and hormone-related conditions. As a doctor, she has seen the damaging effects of stress on her patients’ skin, and has always responded with personable and impeccable treatment, careful to never forget her own adversities.

As a plastic surgeon for over 20 years, she had the pleasure of meeting inspirational women through my work and my love affair with dance. Many of these women have been her patients and colleagues. Others she befriended when she laced up her dancing shoes to help heal my body and spirit during her battle with breast cancer. These extraordinary women inspired her to develop En Pointe Skin Solutions TM, a luxurious skincare line that she formulated to address the skin concerns of women.

With this knowledge, she formulated the skincare line to respond to skin stressors that contribute to leading skin concerns such as fine lines, skin pigmentation, redness and irritation.

Review: The Precision A Serum ($75) will help prevent signs of aging with a proprietary mixture of specialized ingredients called Bio-Energy Complex that stimulates collagen synthesis, improves cellular energy, and renews the skin’s surface thus minimizing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Apply to cleansed skin after toning and before moisturizing in the PM. A slight tingling may occur.

I'm usually not a fan of serums since they usually make my face feel too taut and shiny looking. I didn't experience that with this serum. I'll admit that this serum took a little bit getting used to, because I didn't like the smell at first. Not a major issue, but it had a strong medicine smell. I honestly don't seem to smell it anymore since I'm used to it now. As long as something doesn't break out my face, it is a winner to me! This serum works well in conjunction with the Baby Quasar I've been using lately. I love how soft my face feels after using both. I also love the fact that this line doesn't rely on parabens.

Review: Refresh, balance, soothe and normalize the pH of average to dry skin with Adagio Gentle Toner ($35) - a blend of natural plant extracts Cranberry, Ginger, Ginseng, Green and Red Algae and Witch Hazel. This unique blend of extracts helps relieve stressed or fragile skin, and a cooling ingredient to calm hot or irritated skin. After cleansing with Adagio Gentle Cleanser, apply to face and neck with a cotton pad. Use AM and PM.

I had a hard time adjusting with the smell of this toner like I did with the serum. This toner is excellent and works wonderfully with my skin - no irritations or breakouts. I used to think that toners weren't necessary to include in my beauty regimen, but after using toners for the last few months I couldn't imagine not using one! It works well by removing traces of make-up residue and daily impurities. It also makes my skin feel soft and refreshed afterwards.
