On Monday night’s season finale of “The Sing-Off” judge Nicole Scherzinger showcased her sophisticated, chic style and powerful pipes during her performance of “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” with Jerry Lawson & the Talk of the Town with a braided updo crafted by Sebastian Professional Stylist Design Team Member Janine Jarman.

Janine, who frequently works with Nicole Scherzinger and the Pussycat Dolls, dishes on how to achieve Nicole’s vintage meets modern Diana Ross updo – perfect for your own celeb-worthy holiday hairstyle!

1. Spray a generous amount of Sebastian Professional Volupt Spray from roots to ends to build in volume.

2. Slick back hair into a tight ponytail using Sebastian Professional Shine Define to smooth all of the bumps and fly-aways down.

3. Curl the ponytail with a 1” curling iron, spraying each section with Shine Define for thermal protection and added shine, then clip to cool.

4. Set 4 hair weft pieces as well with Shine Define and a 1” curling iron, also clipping to cool.

5. Unclip all of the curls, take 2” wide pre-braided piece of hair and pin in the front just above the hairline, then pin the wefts around the base of the ponytail.

6. Separate hair in 12-15 sections back combing each at the base while smoothing with a spritz of Sebastian Professional Shaper Zero Gravity.

7. Twist each section at the mid shaft and begin arranging around the ponytail and towards the nape, making sure to keep it balanced and symmetrical.

8. Secure with long hair pins, roller pins, and bobby pins while detailing with smaller hair pins.

9. Finish the look with Sebastian Professional Re-Shaper and Halo Mist for long-lasting hold and a lightweight shimmer and shine.
