In honor of the twentieth anniversary of Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards, L’Oréal Paris and Glamour have teamed up for the first time to create an exclusive, limited edition nail polish shade called Glamour Woman of the Year. For four consecutive years, Glamour has raised money for extraordinary philanthropic organizations through the Glamour Women of the Year Fund initiative; this year the initiative supports the humanitarian efforts of Dr. Hawa Abdi of Somalia. Three dollars of every bottle sold will go to support her efforts. This inaugural philanthropic product enables women everywhere to give back and show their support for a woman who is making our world a better place. Dr. Abdi, a 63-year-old ob-gyn, and her two doctor daughters provide food and care on her family’s land outside Mogadishu to approximately 90,000 Somalis displaced by that country’s violence. Glamour and L’Oréal Paris are honored to celebrate Dr. Abdi and her humanitarian work this year.
