No words could better epitomize this hair care line, Badass Hair or its creator, Scott Fontana. From the edgy logo to the suggestive product name, these products are phenomenal in performance.

Scott has styled hair all over the country for 24 years, has coiffed some of the world's biggest celebs and done numerous on TV makeovers. He has owned his own salons for the past 15 years during which time he experimented with every hair product on the market. In 2006, he decided to put together an educational styling program for professionals and students. Upon looking for products to use in his university, he found himself coming up short. Never afraid of challenge, Scott decided to create his own line.

In September 2008, Badass Hair went from concept to reality and is rockin' and rolling with a wide range of products from shampoos to pomades. Each product is made from high end ingredients, natural botanicals, and reflect Fontana's obsession with perfection and product performance.

Fontana is the father of 3 young children and is in the process of developing Badass Baby, a complete line of baby lotions, diaper balms, powders, bubble baths, and cleansers. He also dreams of creating "The Badass Hair Show," a reality show looking for the next top hair stylist that is less Shear Genius and more Rock Star Supernova.



Review: I had the opportunity to try out the Ecstasy Intense Moisturizing Shampoo ($7-$63), Vanilla Ocean Luxury Intense Deep Moisturizing Treatment ($10-$85), Sweet Nectar Serum ($24.50) and Sophistcation Hair Polish ($27).

Ecstasy Intense Moisturizing Shampoo is a thick and well moisturizing shampoo that is ideal for all hair types. It is blended with Botanical Extracts and Keratin Amino Acids that will not only give your hair the moisture that it needs, but it will also strengthen your hair. I love that it gives my hair a luxurious shine. It also makes my hair more manageable (no tangles) when it comes to styling.

The Vanilla Ocean Luxury Intense Deep Moisturizing Treatment is infused with bionutrient spheres of vanilla bean to provide nourishment and shine. Not only this treatment smells great, but it makes my hair look well conditioned and very healthy.

Benefit more from this moisturizing treatment when you're at the beach or pool. The sun's heat will activate the properties of the conditioner, making your hair even more silky smooth and hydrated.

If you're looking for sleek and smooth hair, the best way to achieve this is to use their Sweet Nectar Serum or Sophistcation Hair Polish. I prefer the polish since it is a bit more thick in texture and works better in conjunction with a flat iron. However, both products are great for de-frizzing and taming those fly-aways!
